"The Moment" the debut album by Framing Hanley
Review by Anthony Cesar
With commonly shared rock/punk/emo elements, Framing Hanley (myspace.com/framinghanley) delivers a pretty damn good album. At first I wasn't too convinced I'd like them. I thought they'd be another A.F.I. or Senses Fail imitation, or attempt at least. If you like most mainstream rock bands, there's a great chance you'll like this new band. With a few songs reminiscing of Crossfade and Papa Roach, the overall feel of the album is pretty cool. The lyrics are more simple than I would have imagined, but they're made up for by the music and vocals. A few songs that stood out to me were Built For Sin, Hear Me Now, and power-ballad Alone In This Bed (Capeside). If you want to sample this new band, without buying their whole CD, I suggest you buy a few of their popular songs [listed above]. For being a debut CD from a band no one's ever heard of, I give these guys props. 4 out of 5 stars.
