Our favorite Candian pop punker, Avril Lavigne is being sued for plagiarism over her song "Girlfriend". A pair of American song writers are claiming that "Girlfriend" sounds far to similar to a hit song of theirs from the 1970's, "I Wanna Be You're Boyfriend" by The Rubinoos song.
Only a few weeks ago Avril's ex-best friend Chantal Kreviazuk, told Preforming Songwriter magazine that Avril stole a song that Chantal wrote and put it on her album "The Best Damn Thing"...
